The Welsh Financial Services Graduate
Programme, unique to Wales is a full-time EU funded programme
designed and delivered by leading financial services employers who
are seeking to develop a talent pool of professionals for the
industry in Wales.
This highly sought after programme provides
structured training in a wide range of professional roles, senior
mentoring and a Masters qualification in Financial Services
Management delivered by the University of South Wales.
Participating employers include Julian Hodge
Bank, Principality Building Society, Admiral, Atradius, GM
Financial, Finance Wales, Optimum Credit, Grant Thornton and
Composite Legal Expenses
We are looking to recruit 10 bright, talented
Welsh graduates who can demonstrate a passion and commitment to
working within the financial services sector with the drive,
personality and tenacity to successfully complete an intensive 22
months of work, training and academic study.
You will undertake 4 paid placements from
November 2015 until August 2017 within the partner companies
providing the opportunity to sample different cultures and a wide
range of job roles such as risk/underwriting, commercial account
management, product development, business analysis, project
management, business advisory, IT, finance, financial control,
credit risk, research, HR, and marketing. You will be involved in
interesting and challenging project work and gain exposure to
clients from day 1. Note; placements will depend upon availability
within each organisation.
The programme will give you confidence, depth
of knowledge, transferable skills, highly valuable work experience
and the opportunity to apply for permanent job openings as they
arise. You will also have the opportunity to plan and deliver a
Welsh National Finance Conference in December 2016 to encourage
students to develop a career within the industry.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract
with no guarantee for permanent employment however vacancies will
arise during the programme.

We are looking for candidates with the

- High level of numeracy, the ability to analyse financial data
and an understanding of basic economics
- Ability to collate, analyse and present information clearly,
both verbally and written at senior level, and demonstrating
professional behaviour within a commercial environment.
