Why we invested
Cardiff-based CG Rees Group was a successful metal supplier.
When its founder and managing director decided to retire in 2006, a
succession plan was implemented to ensure the company continued
trading.
Investment outcome
Former Fromstock manager, Jan Frayne bought the company in 2008
in a management buy-out (MBO) worth £1.3
million. The company was renamed Fromstock and continues to perform
well. Mr Frayne plans to expand the business and create new jobs in
the future.
