Follow-on funding for Outlook Expeditions

The
UK’s top independent youth expedition company, Outlook Expeditions,
can continue its growth plans thanks to a follow-on investment from
Finance Wales.
We’ve invested a total of £710,000 in Outlook Expeditions. The
latest round gives the company more capital which it will use to
expand its client base.

When Outlook Expeditions approached us for follow-on funding we
were happy to talk to its founders, Matt Wells and Rhys Davies.
Finance Wales has made a number of investments in Outlook
Expeditions since it was founded in 2001. Most recently we invested
£470,000 in May 2009.

Ethical expansion
Since 2001 Outlook Expeditions has provided thousands of young
people with the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities.
Our investment will enable Outlook Expeditions to increase its
client base by engaging more with schools and youth groups.
The company, based in Snowdonia, operates at more than 40
destinations around the world. It promotes environmental awareness
and responsible travel and is the first company of its kind to be
awarded CarbonNeutral status.
